Annual Dinner - Deer Creek Golf Course

At our Annual Dinner we talked about the future of ERC Trailblazers. This is a topic the board has been discussing since the last Annual Dinner. As you may be aware, our new parent company, Swiss RE, does not have an organization similar to ours. Therefore, we felt it was in our best interest to have a plan on how to continue into the future. A committee of Jerry Woolard, Joe Levin, Stu Schlemmer, Richard Fagerberg and LeRoy Unruh meet to discuss the future.
Follow up:
First we need to determine whether the office here in town will support us as they have in the past. In the event that they do not, we felt that a combination of Annual Dues increase, a fee for the Annual Dinner and financial support from key “Underwriters” would be the likely funding.
At the Annual Dinner Jerry Woolard gave his summary of our meetings and other options we are looking at, such as becoming a 501 (C) not for profit social club. It was also suggested from the floor by Bob Breckenridge that another option could be the use of a new membership status so that anyone could contribute an additional amount to the Trailblazers to help fund the Annual Dinner.
