KC Trailblazers - Events

The Founders Day event was a big success. A good percentage of the members were in attendance. Randy Nordquist, the new KC Site Manager, brought everyone up to date on where Swiss Re is and where it's headed. Following the presentation, a nice lunch social was shared by all the members.

Thanks to Paula and her staff the Trailblazers enjoyed a delicious meal at the Christmas Party. We sampled prime rib, spinach lasagna,shrimp, crab claws, salmon, antipasta, fruit/cheese/vegetable tray, spinach dip and an assortment of baked goods. Wine, beer, soda and coffee were also served. Five bottles of wine (three red and two white) were enjoyed and a six pack of beer. We had 66 RSVP's (42 members and 24 guests). The day of the event saw 10 no shows for various reasons. We gave away 20 to 25 door prizes, all nicely wrapped in festive paper or boxes which contained baked goods. All in all, it was a successful Party.
